WGP 77: Super 8 Challenger GP Finals

The biggest kickboxing league in Latin America, WGP Kickboxing opens the event K-1 Fight Week on August 17 with its 77th edition. The BRB Nilson Nelson Arena hosts the event, whose main attraction is the Super 8 Challenger GP finals in the Super Lightweight division (up to 64.5kg).

The tournament, which will determine the next challenger to the champion Tomas Chacal's title, began with the first two quarter-finals in WGP 73, in which Vinicius Mestrinier and Gabriel de Lima beat Braian Ortega and Niko Vega, respectively, to advance and face each other in one of the semi-finals. On the other side, in the 75th edition, Denis Jr and Alex Reis beat Hiago Pereira and Diego Piovesan, respectively, and also advanced to face each other in the other semi-final.

The two winners will face off in the main fight of the evening, which will also feature 11 other fights that promise to excite kickboxing fans.
